  1. 01

Start with a line of single cards

Shuffle one standard deck. Lay every card face up from left to right, one per pile. The screen shows the same continuous line in a scrolling frame.

  2. 02

Move one or three piles left

Select the top card of the source pile and then the destination heading. You can move immediately left or jump over two intervening piles. The two visible cards must match in rank or suit.

  3. 03

Reduce the line to one pile

A win combines the full deck into one pile. When the line has multiple piles and no legal merges, the deal is blocked.

01
DEAL

Start with a line of single cards

Shuffle one standard deck. Lay every card face up from left to right, one per pile. The screen shows the same continuous line in a scrolling frame.

02
MATCH

Move one or three piles left

Select the top card of the source pile and then the destination heading. You can move immediately left or jump over two intervening piles. The two visible cards must match in rank or suit.

03
COMPRESS

Close the line after a move

Move the entire source pile, keeping its order. Its exposed card remains on top of the combined pile. All piles to the right close the gap, so count the distances again.

04
PLAN

Compare both legal destinations

When both destinations match, examine the neighbours each move will create. A merge can open a new match several positions away. Undo lets you try a different legal merge.

05
FINISH

Reduce the line to one pile

A win combines the full deck into one pile. When the line has multiple piles and no legal merges, the deal is blocked.

06
PRACTISE

Use the remaining pile count

The counter shows how many piles remain. Try to beat your previous total on the same deal. The Hint button selects a legal starting pile.
