A little know-how.
A better game.
We bring the rules and the card table together, so you can learn by reading, watching a hand unfold and trying a move yourself.
Learn it. Try it. Play it.
Card Game Rules is a collection of 14 playable guides to classic card games. Each guide explains the setup, the aim, the turn sequence and how a hand is won. A guided tutorial helps you take the first steps before you practise against the computer.
No download, account or payment is needed. Computer opponents and practice chips are there to help you learn; there are no cash prizes, deposits or real-money games.
One table. Plenty of house rules.
Card games travel between families and countries, and rules often change along the way. We explain the version used by each practice game and point out important variations. Agree the rules with your group before dealing a real hand.
Tutorial examples are teaching aids. A practice game may simplify a full match or use a specific scoring format; the guide explains the version being played.
Good guides keep getting better.
Spotted an unclear rule, a broken control or a result that does not look right? Tell us the game, what you expected and what happened. We welcome corrections and will review reports before changing a guide.
